Bilbo Baggins is a creature of habit. In the beginning of the book we meet Bilbo and we find that he likes to follow a certain schedule, from the time he gets up in the morning until bedtime. There is a time for breakfast, a morning and afternoon tea and of course the main meals are scheduled for specific times.

After I read the last line in The Hobbit, I closed the book and felt the need to go challenge myself somehow, in some way. That’s how Bilbo’s story makes you feel, anyway.

The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien - Review 'I absolutely loved this book. It is one of the few books which completely absorbs you into the story and makes you wish you lived in the land of the hobbit'.
The Hobbit or There And Back Again, is a very well written book following the adventures of Bilbo Baggins. He journeys with Gandalf and thirteen dwarves; Kili, Fili, Oin, Gloin, and Thorin are a few of them. He travels through forests and mountains and across lakes and streams in his search to kill the dragon.Thorin dies, and the Hobbit is rewarded chests of treasures that is ponied back to his cozy little hole under the hill. Throughout the story, Bilbo is prized as the hero, saving the dwarves (although they would rather have just stayed home rather than be locked up in a barrel, in prisons, tangled in spider webs, and chained by goblins) many times over, and outwitting the dragon and saving.

The Hobbit, or There and Back Again is written as the memoirs of Bilbo Baggins, the Hobbit of Bag End. I first read it when I was young enough to be scared of trolls and goblins not to mention evil dragons. There are certain scenes from it that will remain ingrained on my brain for life and others that I can't really recall at all. That's age and not the quality.
